<div itemprop="description">Michael Kenneth Hogan, 89, of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the Rosefield Care Centre in Innisfail, Alberta. Born in Titchfield, Saskatchewan to Patrick and Myrtle Hogan he lived most of his life in the greater Hamilton, Ontario area. <br /> <br />Michael was a good hearted, hard- working, and loving family man. He loved to socialize and enjoyed music, dancing and hockey. After serving with the Canadian Armed Forces for two years, he worked as the Owner of Hogan&rsquo;s Auto Glass in Hamilton. He also volunteered for many years with Dundas Minor hockey/baseball, sports fundraisers and events, as well as the Greensville Parks Board. In Michael&rsquo;s spare time he enjoyed building his family home, an in-ground swimming pool and retirement mobile home along with helping his friends and family with numerous projects. Saturday nights were spent attending dances or hosting house parties along with his wife, Kathleen. He thoroughly enjoyed the company of family and friends as well as providing disc jockey services at the Greensville Community Hall, Ontario and while wintering in Florida. <br /> <br />Michael was extremely devoted to his family and proud of his three sons, Jim Hogan (wife Ilona), of Dunnville, Ontario, Terry Hogan of Red Deer, Alberta and Brad Hogan (wife Lynn), of Niagara Falls, Ontario; and two daughters, Sharon Richards of Red Deer, Alberta and Colleen Herzog (husband Bruce) of Olds, Alberta . He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Jeff Hogan, Jennifer Martineau, Russell Hogan, Rachel Hogan, Ryan Hogan, Lindsay Richards, Michael Richards, Nicholas Herzog, Lucas Herzog and Andrea Herzog; and by 11 great grandchildren, Liam Hogan, Jessica and Adele Martineau, Reece, Payton and Landon Hogan, Sawyer and Jaxson Hogan-Polyblank, Sean and Alexa Hogan and Leah Herzog; as well as his many loving nieces, nephews and other friends. Michael was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen; his sister, Velma Cook; and brother-in law, Arthur Cook. <br /> <br />The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150-67 Street, Red Deer, Alberta. Memorial donations may be made in Michael&rsquo;s name to the Royal Canadian Legion. <br /> <br /> A special thank you to the staff of Aspen Ridge Senior Living in Red Deer, the Rosefield Care Centre in Innisfail and all of the Alberta Health Services Home Care workers for their loving care and support. Also thank you to Red Deer Funeral Home for all of the arrangements.</div>
