It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Norah Catherine Gleeson on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Norah was the youngest of a large Irish family and moved to Saskatchewan with her husband, Ed, in the late ’50’s. Their first stop was rural Saskatchewan, then it was on to Scott, North Battleford and in 2005 they moved to Red Deer, Alberta.

Norah was known for her gregarious, outgoing personality, grace and her willingness to help. Norah was predeceased by her husband Ed and leaves to mourn her passing her two sons, Brendan (Eleanor), Declan and his three boys Bret, Michael and Daniel; numerous relatives in Ireland and a long list of dear friends.

Our gratitude to Dr. Costigan for his understanding and care that added quality to Norah’s life for the past seven years, and from the heart we want to recognize the staff and residents of Parkvale Lodge in Red Deer for making her address her home. She loved living at Parkvale and told us many times how much.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may kindly be made directly to a charity that holds special meaning to you, or perform an act of kindness for someone whose day needs brightening, something Norah believed in and practiced regularly.
