<div itemprop="description">KOCINS, Sandra Karen <br>August 5, 1963 - July 14, 2016 <br> <br>With great sadness and remorse in our hearts, we announce that Sandra Karen Kocins (née Kozun) passed away unexpectedly in Red Deer on July 14, 2016. <br> <br>Sandra is remembered by her loving husband, Maris; children, Mitchell and Deanna (Vincent); father, Morris Kozun (Larine) of Ponoka County; mother-in-law Arija Kocins of Red Deer; sisters, Barbara (Hardy) Hood of Red Deer and Sharon (Bryan) Whittemore of Delburne; sister-in-law Ilze (Bryon) Schwartz of Red Deer; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Sandra was predeceased by her mother, Paulina Kozun and by her father-in-law, John Kocins. <br> <br>Sandra cherished time with her family and friends and enjoyed taking in the beauty of life through her love of gardening, photography, hiking, travelling and reading. Sandra’s early career involved working at Alberta Hospital in Ponoka as a secretary, while the majority of her career was focused on helping countless people transform their photographs into beautiful memories at London Drugs. <br> <br>A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150-67 St., Red Deer, Alberta. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations honouring Sandra may be made to the Canadian Association of Suicide Prevention and to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Central Alberta Region, 5017-50 Ave., Red Deer, AB T4N 4B2.</div>
