<div itemprop="description">In loving memory of Victoria &ldquo;Vicki&rdquo; Korpiniski who passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 20, 2014 from the Rimbey Long Term Care Centre at the age of 84. <br /> <br />Vicki was born in Cochrane, Alberta to Marie and Kost Block. She lived in Nordegg, Nisku and Rocky Mountain House. Vicki had waitressed on and off for many years and had worked at the Waterton Lakes Chateau Hotel, then moved to Red Deer where she met and married Paul Korpiniski on August 8, 1951. She also joined the Moose Hall and was a dedicated member for 35 years. Mom&rsquo;s passion was Bingo and gardening, but she also loved to go to dances. Mom thoroughly enjoyed attending functions for the Guide and Outfitter&rsquo;s Association and the Fish and Game Association. Mom was also an active member of the Gun Club in Red Deer where she enjoyed going to the gun range to shoot her pistols. She was feisty both on and off the range. She lived on the north hill when she raised her 4 children and later on in lower Fairview. Vicki loved cats and always had pets. She enjoyed spending time at Teddy and Wendy&rsquo;s acreage in Rimbey. In Vicki&rsquo;s later years, her home was Parkland Manor in Rimbey, Alberta. <br /> <br />Vicki was predeceased by her husband Paul (Dec 23, 1996). Vicki will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her 4 children, Teddy (Wendy) Korpiniski of Rimbey, AB, Virginia Korpiniski of Chilliwack, BC, Kelly Korpiniski of Edmonton, AB and Sam Korpiniski of Lethbridge, AB; as well as 8 cherished grandchildren, Kelsey (Carrie) and Jessie, Brandy (Mark) and Kady (Dustin), Robert (Lindsey) and Jantzen, Gina and Travis; 2 great grandchildren, Marley and Mailkai; her brother, Walter (Millie) Block of Jasper, AB; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of long time friends. <br /> <br />A special thank you to all of the staff in Area 1 at the Rimbey Long Term Care Centre for their excellent care of our mother, Vicki. <br /> <br />A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 &ndash; 67 Street, Red Deer. Interment will follow in Alto Reste Cemetery. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Vicki&rsquo;s honour may be made directly to the Rimbey Long Term Care Centre, Area 1.</div>
