FRY, William (Bill) Stewart
December 8, 1940 - June 27, 2016

It is with heavy hearts and loving memories that the family of Bill Fry announce his passing at the age of 75 years. Bill passed away peacefully with his family by his side after fighting a courageous battle of cancer. Bill was born in Moose Jaw, SK to his parents Jim and Pat Fry. He spent his childhood years living in Anglia, SK and Milden, SK and then later moving to Calgary, AB and finally to Red Deer, AB to be closer to his daughter and granddaughters. He was predeceased by both his parents; the mother of his children, Sandy Hassel; brothers, Jim Fry and Garry Fry; sisters, Laura Halter and Helen Talbot. He is survived by his son, Gord Fry; grandson, James; daughter, Tammy (Andy) MacPherson and granddaughters, Danica and Mikelle; siblings, Phyllis (Norris) Lovstad, Issy Nordmarken, Sheila Huggins, Linda (Bill) Swizdaryk, Brian (Wendy) Fry, Glen (Pam) Fry, Marge (Glen) Cleave, Bob (Donna) Fry and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill lived life to the fullest enjoying all the simple things life had to offer. He especially enjoyed fishing and camping, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on July 8th at 1:00pm at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 1515 100th St SE, Calgary AB. A celebration of life is to follow the service at Marlborough Park Community Association, 6021 Madigan Drive NE, Calgary, AB.

Bill’s wishes were for no flowers but he would appreciate if everyone would “pay it forward”. A simple act of buying someone coffee, helping a senior, calling a family member and telling them you love them. Those gestures of kindness would mean more to him.
